Facebook has launched some new features for its 9.2 million users. The old design for facebook was just about listing information. Facebook wanted to add some life to its profiles by new features like News Feed and Mini Feed.

News Feed appears on the user’s admin page, and lets him know about the latest changes that occurred to the friends’ profiles like photos recently posted. This saves the time and effort spent by users checking all of their friends’ profiles one by one. The Mini Feed feature is a minimized News Feed, and it shows updates for only one users. Mini Feed appears the user’s profile page.

“These features are not only different from anything we’ve had on Facebook before, but they’re quite unlike anything you can find on the web,” said Ruchi Sanghvi on Facebook blog. Users will take some time to get used to the new features, but it’s worth it. The new features will help them always be up-to-date with their friends and their activities all the time. The two new features, like other features on Facebook, can be controlled by the user to specify exactly who can see the updates and who cannot.
