Western Digital released a new My Passport for Mac portable HDD and the My Book Mac Edition – two new portable hard drives that are worthy of CES attention.
While there is not much difference between these two devices aside from the pre-format process the device still packs a few noteworthy specifications.
The USB 2.0 external drives work with Apple’s Time Machine backup software seamlessly. Convenience and trouble free usage of memory storage. Since the My Book Mac Edition is pre-formatted for Mac, it will save users of tiresome task of converting ‘em to HFS+ Journaled.
The storage has shock-resistant enclosures that are bump resistant and can therefore protect your data. It comes with 3-year limited warranty and sleek, elegant matte finish.
The back up drives is available in 320GB and 500GB for the My Passport and 1TB for My Book. The price range of these new storage devices is between $129.99 and $179.99.
