MontebelloEurocom (A Canadian notebook manufacturer) announced yesterday their specifications of the first system to Intel’s Centrino 2 (Montevina) Platform. The notebook has a quad-core processor and can have up to 8GB of RAM. It weighs 7 pounds. This model is called Montebello and is expected to be out to consumers by June.

The notebook is based on the Nvidia’s GeForce 9xxx series upgradable VGA technology. This upgradable technology allows users to choose between 5 different cards: the NVIDIA GeForce Go 8800M GTX, 9600M GE, 9800M GTS, 9800M GTX with 512MB or 1GB of DDR3.  

For storage, it has SATA-300 hard drives. There are four USB 2.0 ports, one DVI, one FireWire, one RJ-45 port for 1 Gigabyte LAN, HDMI output, e-SATA port, Built-in webcam, HSPDA 3.5G mobile broadband support , WiMax or 802.11n and Bluetooth. Along with other specifications, the notebook provides powerful graphics enhancements and super performance for hardcore PC users (gamers/ engineers, etc…).

Intel will launch its new Montevina platform in the next Computex tradeshow. Eurocom will also launch its new notebook there. Eurocom will make models that use all of the seven Montevina processors. The models will of course have high prices due to its new amazing features…
