Microsoft is finding ways to make its surface technology affordable. Reports indicated that the company is conducting studies focused on its Microsoft Surface device product codenamed as Oahu. Experts agree that Oahu is the real future of desktop computing.

The study conducted by Microsoft revealed that they are brewing up something big. Oahu is an innovative multi-touch screen which can interact by touching the screen, instead of using a mouse, very similar to what you’ve watched in a lot of science fiction movies. It allows multiple users to command and interact with a given system.

Analysts are now excited on what Oahu’s applications would be. Many believe that it has more practical uses that one can easily imagine.

The survey also revealed that users would want special features like wireless synchronization with mobile devices like phones or cameras. Casual uses in gaming and other interactive activities were highlighted. The study also revealed that at $1499, users will be ready to purchase it.
