After months of brewing what will be the sequel of the celebrated Microsoft operating system Vista, the giant company finally decide to retain the code of the new OS Microsoft 7.

Microsoft 7 is now officially the next OS that will replace Vista very soon. The confirmation was made by Mike Nash, general manager of Microsoft.

Analysts notice Microsoft’s unconventional naming of its products. Windows have version numbers like Windows 3.11 or dates like Windows 98. “Using a date did not make sense” since new version of Windows do not come out every year, according to experts.

Nash also added that the naming of Windows OS is now based on the aspiration of the company, like in Windows XP as in experience and others.

Windows 7 will be the seventh release of windows. Nash also said that their company had decided against using an aspirational name because the company’s aspiration lay with Windows Vista.
Windows 7 was formerly codenamed Blackcomb and Vienna. Windows 7 includes the client and server version as well.
