Leica recently revealed three new vintage looking digital cameras that sport advanced specifications.
Topping the list is a new 10-megapixel LEICA C-Lux 3 point and shoot camera. This new member of the M8 range of cameras has a 1/1.63-inch CCD image sensor. It sports the powerful LEICA DC VARIO-ELMARIT 4.4-to-22 mm f/2.8-5.9 ASPH lens. It’s 2.5 LCD display boasting a resolution of 230,000 pixels should be more than enough to captivate you. This camera is not limited in getting still images as users can also record videos at 30 fps rate.
The 2nd camera is the LEICA D-Lux 4. This small camera packs big features. It has 1/1.63-inch CCD image sensor and LEICA DC VARIO-SUMMICRON 5.1-12.8 mm f/2.0-2.8 ASPH lens. The D-Lux 4 allows users to shoot pictures in a variety of exposures and field depths.
The last but certainly not the least, is the new M8.2 camera. This camera is Leica’s cream of the crop. It is the first professional digital camera that uses an ultra-scratch-resistant sapphire crystal as cover glass for the camera monitor. This is what many considers as the ultimate protection in camera lens. The camera also boasts low-vibration metal blade focal plane shutter. It also has an automatic system that suggests the correct aperture and focus settings before taking a picture.
The LEICA C-Lux 3 is tagged at $599. LEICA D-Lux 4 on the other hand can be bought at $795. The M8.2 is priced at $6,295.
