Facebook, one of the largest social networking sites in the world is reaching the iPhone market thru the release of its unique iPhone App. This application is now on version 2 and it allows you to do social networking thru iPhone. The application has the Facebook functions like notifications, people search, friend requests, full News/Mini Feeds, photo tagging/captioning, message attachments, and inbox search. All of these make your Facebook iPhone experience not far from that in your desktop or laptop computer.

The biggest update in this App version is the friend requests and notifications functions. Users can now search for people and then later add them to their network list. There is also a photo tagging and captioning system. The integration of these functions brought the iPhone App into a whole different level.

The earlier version of this Facebook’s App lacked the option to put attachments in messages. This created a big difference in over-all experience and functionality of the social networking site. Because of this, iPhone users weren’t able to fully enjoy the side-service offered by Facebook. This is an important function in Facebook and the site seemed a bit less useable without this function. Many people are happy that version 2.0 readily solves this problem.

The original Facebook iPhone App was released in August last year but it didn’t get approval of the general iPhone and Facebook population. Users were disappointed by the lack of functions like wall posting and others.
