iPhone fanatics will soon enjoy the sound of podcasts. This is what is rumoured as the next update of iPhone software version 2.2 this coming month.
According to reports, the update will allow iPhone users to download podcasts straight to their smart phones, removing the need to connect into a desktop Mac or PC system. This, needless to say further strengthens the connectivity of the popular phone.
Originally, the podcaster application was refused access to Appleās iTunes Store. The company said that it was refused because it simply duplicates the purpose of the iTunes itself. But this will all be history when the upgrade 2.2 comes.
Analysts agree that podcasting on iPhone offers lucrative opportunities, both for users and Apple itself. Podcasts allows users to listen to a number of audio sources, including music and even audio e-books.
The iPhone software version 2.2 will also contain Google Street View’s inclusion in the Maps application.
