Hardcore downloaders of movies, music and other files will certainly find the new offer by IS COMMS, provider of Comcast simply irresistible.
US COMMS provider Comcast, which is famous for its bandwidth cap, has announced two new tiers of service for heavy residential downloader. The two new plans are called ‘Extreme’ and ‘Ultra’ and true to their names, they give high bandwidth limit to users. ‘Extreme’ has a rate of 50 Mbps downstream and 10 Mbps upstream while ‘Ultra’ rates at 22 Mbps and 5 Mbps upstream.
If this appears to be not enough, US COMMS also offers the ‘Performance’ where you can have a jump from 8 to 16 Mbps.
The price of these subscriptions ranges from $62.95 and $139.95. There is also a new tier called ‘Premium’ which is rated at 22 Mbps upstream and 5 Mbps downstream. It costs $99.95 a month.
Comcast boasts that with this bandwidth allotment, their subscribers can download a high-def movie in about 16 minutes, a standard-def movie in about 5 minutes and a standard-def TV show in a matter of seconds.”
