This is a good reason to stop procrastinating and get on with green technology. Well at least if you’re a Dell fan. The company put the green LCD G2410 on sale.
This was first shown in this year’s CES and logically it stirred the interest of both gadget tech enthusiasts and green tech fanatics. The G2410 boasts very firm green-based innards. It has an EPEAT Gold rating and utilizes halogen-free laminates in circuit boards along with chassis plastics that contain 25 percent post-consumers recycled plastics. You don’t need to be a rocket scientist to find the claim that it is good for the environment hard to understand.
The LCD also has a 1,920 x 1,080 resolution panel that goes well with 1,000:1 contrast ratio. It has 250 nits of nits of brightness, has VGA / DVI connectors for connectivity. Its 5 millisecond response time renders it relatively fast.
The LCD G2410 is now tagged at $349.
