Apricon unveiled a new power hard drive for media fanatics. The new Apricon DVR Xpander literally expands your media options by adding up to 843 hours of video recording time.

Apricorn 1.5TB DVR Xpander the highest capacity DVR external hard drive on the market to date. It can also record 187.5 hours of HD video and you can program the device to do the recording for you, automatically.

PC Launches noted that among the advantage of Apricon’s DVR is its hassle-free installation. Users only need to connect the DVR Xpander to an eSATA or USB 2.0 port and then format the drive.

Apricorn is a competitive manufacturer of hard drives and storage devices. Although some tech reviews reveal that the new DVR Xpander is too short of their expectations, the new product from this outfit still worth some coverage.

Apricorn DVR Xpander is actually available in four variations: 500GB, 750GB, 1TB and 1.5TB. Price ranges from $119 to $239.
