Few days ago, Adobe has announced the new release of its document management software, Adobe Acrobat 9. The new release has a new set of features. Among them, the new support for Flash format. For the first time, pdf documents will not only have text, links, graphics and links, but movies or animations as well. Of course, this is totally compatible with the free Adobe Acrobat Reader for everyone to enjoy the new features.
Another exciting new feature is the PDF Portofolios feature, which allows authors to easily combine almost al lmultimedia types including movies, audio and 3D objects all in one compressed pdf file.
The new release will be available next July in three flavors; Acrobat 9 Standard (for $299), Acrobat 9 Pro (for 4449) and Acrobat 9 Pro Extended (for $699).
Adobe has also been working hard on its Internet Services new strategy. Adobe.com is now an impressive online content creation, management and creation platform. It now offers an online word processor, a file organizer and a limited pdf creator – up to only five files.It also introduces file sharing and collaboration services as well as chatting, video and voice conferencing capabilities.
