At least Canon isn’t trying to be a pure printing hardcore that produces printer devices for large print requirements, and the new Canon Selphy CP780 portable printer clearly shouts that.

The new Selphy CP780 is the newest member of the SELPHYcompact photo printers family. It features faster print speeds, improved image quality and well, three colors.

Canon improved an important feature the SELPHY predecessors, the Face Detection brightness and color correction. So if even your cheap digital camera fails you, there is still hope. The feature allows you to print candid photos clearly by simply correcting its color first.

Yuichi Ishizuka, senior vice president and general manager, Consumer Imaging Group, Canon U.S.A boasted what their product can offer. “Canon SELPHY printers have consistently provided consumers with high-quality images at a reasonable price. Now with the three different color variations, users will not only be able to share their memorable moments but also their own unique style,” he said.

Selphy CP780 is tagged at $99.99. That is the unit alone, if you’re interested in the peripherals, you need to shell out more cash as the optional battery pack is tagged at $80 while the Bluetooth adapter is priced at $50.
