Acer unveiled the successor to the Ferrari 1100 ultraportable laptop, the AMD-powered Ferrari 1200.

It’s been a year since the company coined the fast car’s name into their laptop and here comes the awaited successor to that. The new Ferrari 1200 Ultraportable is rumored to be nearing the streets of Britain. Leaked images and information of the laptop reveals that it has an LED-backlit screen measuring 12.1 inches. Its cover just like the first version is made of carbon fiber, the same material that is used in Ferrari cars (or most cars for that matter).

The company also boasted a few features that fit the Ferrari car as well. According to Acer the laptop has a ventilation design that “echoes the exhaust pipes of F1 cars” and an “anodized-metal touchpad that resembles the brake and acceleration pedals of a Ferrari car.” We are not here to debate any of that.

Ferrari 1200 ultraportable laptop also has BT wireless mouse, an optional Xpress VoIP phone and WiFi module for supreme connectivity. As hinted in the title, the ultraportable machine is powered by AMD Turion X2 Ultra CPU and its RAM is rated at 4GB and has a SATA HDD.

There is no word on the pricing yet but you can be sure that this laptop won’t be cheap.
