It’s is unarguably a lot sleeker than any present day handheld gaming device. This is Sony’s future PlayStation Portable.

This photo along with information about the project was leaked by Eurogamer. The source indicated that the new PlayStation Portable will be released very soon. As of this time, gamers can only expect an update on the PSP, dubbed as the new PSP 4000, it will not be far from the models you currently play with and more importantly, won’t be looking as sleek as this one.

The new model will not be called as PSP, rather its PSP2 according to David Reeves, SCEE president. Although there are rumors that this product will be launched between 2010 and 2011, the head made vague statements such as “there are currently no plans for a PSP2,” and “I go to Tokyo quite a lot and no one has referred to it - I think they have their hands full at the moment.”

Unluckily, it appears that no one believes Reeves as details of the supposed PSP2 are now all over the blogosphere.
