Canon released a high-tech camera that will cater to advanced amateur photographers. This is the new EOS 50D Digital SLR Camera, a 15-1-megapixel camera that goes hand in hand with the new DIGIC 4 image processor.
The new camera allows photographers to produce high quality images by giving them more control in terms of ISO range, picture noise reduction and even in-camera photo editing functions. The camera also comes with the Creative Auto Mode (CA), a function that makes it easy for the photographer to adjust image attributes.
The 15-1-megapixel camera uses the improved CMOS APS-C size image sensor technology. The new DIGIC 4 processor on the other hand allows speed shooting for up to 6.3 frame-per-second speed. This allows for the production of up to 90 Large/Fine JPEGs or 16 RAW images on a UDMA CF card. The EOS 50D also comes with intelligent functions called the Auto Lighting Optimizer which gives a lighter impression to dark images. It sports a 3.0-inch Clear View LCD screen that performs with 920,000 dot/VGA resolution for supreme clarity.
The new camera has a viewfinder with 0.95 magnification and high-performance Autofocus. It has the creative Full Auto function that allows photographers to customize settings before shooting while not leaving the Auto mode. This, as Canon sees it will help improve the skills of advanced amateur photographers.
The EOS 50D will hit the stores this October. It will be tagged at $1,399.00.
