How does streaming of more than 12,000 movies and TV episodes directly to your TV appeal to you? If you are in for it, then you would be excited to know that LG Electronics and Netflix will release a high-definition Blu-ray disc player that can give you that.

The LG BD300 player will use broadband connection and a special queue-based user interface. This will display a variety of viewable content selected by a Netflix subscriber. According to the company, the streaming will be incredibly fast and so subscribers will be able to watch anything from its large database of movies and TV shows in as short as 30 seconds.

Netflix and LG plans to put a lot of interactivity with this system as users can browse and rate movies using their remote control. They will also be granted the option to rewind or fast-forward any streaming video.

The LG-Netflix partnership is not exclusive however, so subscribers from different companies can still hope for the LG’s service. Netflix on the other hand revealed that its long-term goal is to get Sony, Panasonic, and LG to integrate Netflix services into their digital TVs.

LG BD300 supports high-definition content; however its partner company Netflix is yet to offer HD videos for streaming.

Users will also be able to stream movies directly into their PCs. The service is offered at no additional cost.

Netflix on the other hand announced another partnership with Microsoft. The company will soon all downloads of movies through the Xbox Live service. This service will be exclusive to subscribers of Microsoft’s Xbox Live Gold service.
