The black Eee PC 901 and the white Eee PC 900Asus Eee PC adds another unit to its rack. This time the small PC gets powered by Intel’s Atom processor.

This is one of the latest Eee PC models. The Eec PC family is already among the favourites of mobile PC users, thanks to its original $399 tag that is a perfect attraction for impulse buyers. From its initial release in the fall of 2007, it has won the hearts of many PC enthusiasts. Its 7-inch Linux based and Windows version models topped different charts mainly because of its affordable price. The original 9-inch version didn’t do that much appeal maybe because there’s nothing new to it aside from a larger trackpad and increase in battery life – but this Eee PC 901 dares to be different.

The Atom processor has a speed of 1.6GHz, that’s is a big boost from Celeron M. This new model of Eee PC is perhaps the most stylish from its line. Because of its larger footprint and a more prominent hinge, it actually goes away from the petite look of the Eee PC. The Asus brand is made smaller and is also moved on the back of the lid and under the display.

The Eee PC 901 will be available in the US soon. Priced at $599, the 901 PC shall face different reactions from PC buyers since a 66% price difference is not negligible.
