Nokia has recently announced that it will allow N-gage gamers to transfer N-gage games between several devices. Right now, if a Nokia gamer bought a new N-Gage game, the new game is locked to its phone forever. If the user for any reason changed his handset, or maybe wanted to upgrade, they will have to buy the same titles again.
Nokia has done this to provide good guarantees for games market profit, as locking the games will prevent piracy and theft. This has led to N-gage gamers’ anger, which made Nokia change its mind and try to solve this issue. “We acknowledge our customers’ concerns and have been working on a solution that would allow people to transfer purchased N-Gage games to a new Nokia device,” it said.
The gamers’ response to this was unveiled in the website [All About N-Gage]; “They haven’t given any indication as to when we can start transferring games, but at least they’ve now admitted this is a problem and admitted they must come up with a solution,” the site said. “This is a complete turnaround when compared to their previous statements earlier in the week, which all defended the idea of not allowing transfers.”
Nokia relaunched the N-Gage gaming service last month, with 30 games available for a range of Nokia handsets. Nokia is always trying to make success at the mobile gaming and always have mobile gamers’ satisfaction.
